Off-camera voices can be heard laughing as the pair, seen briefly above the water, make their way down below. As for the seal's reason for jumping, the video says: 'We can only speculate, but the fact that the seal was quite young, was out a long ways from shore by himself and had quite a sleepy demeanor suggested he was just tired.
'Upon seeing something to sit on, never mind that it was a whale, he went for it.'
