When it comes to lending a hand to a furry friend in need, there is nothing an animal lover won’t do.

We’ve seen people go above and beyond to help an injured pigeon, provide shelter for homeless animals, and even save pigs from a burning barn. And this story is no different.

Patrick Kilonzo Mwalua has made it his life goal to help animals in need and his actions definitely speak louder than words.

At the Tsavo West National Park in Kenya, a drought sadly forced many animals to go without water, so, in an effort to help Patrick carried more than 3,000 gallons of water per day to the park to make sure all the giraffes, zebras, elephants and many more animals got water.

“I started giving animals water because I thought if I don’t, they will die,” said Patrick. What a hero!

Patrick is a farmer in his village and has seen the massive impact that climate change has had on this natural area and the animals who live there.

“We were accustomed to receiving the water from the rains, but that is not happening anymore. So I started giving animals water on my own,” stated Patrick.

Patrick drives for hours in the drought to fill the water tanks and bring it to the animals.
