But this relationship between a baby bison and her three canine "brothers" is almost too cute. When Jaysen McCleary, an animal rights lawyer who founded the Bela Animal Legal Defense and Rescue, brought the bison home, he wasn't sure how his dogs would react.
McCleary rescued the bison, whom he named Tahnee, from a bison farmer who no longer wanted her. Tahnee was only 12 days old and had lost her mother, so McCleary brought her to his sprawling farm in Des Moines, Iowa, to rehabilitate her.
McCleary said that all the dogs "take turns babysitting her" so that she is never alone and always has a friend nearby.
