We've all felt the struggle of getting up after a bad night's sleep. And as one adorable Siberian husky puppy showed, it's not just humans who would often rather stay in bed.

Footage shows the pup giving a huge yawn as it stretches out in its very comfortable looking crate.

It tries to pull itself up, giving cute little grunts as it attempts to manoeuvre its legs. But it fails as it flops back down into the basket.

It tries once again to get up, but again can't seem to quite make it. Finally it gives up, and simply shuffles along the crate to reach the back.

The footage was filmed in Greece and the filmer later wrote online: 'This husky puppy just woke up and can't stand up. 'It's like me on Mondays mornings.'

NOTE: Just like people, the young ‘uns and the seniors need more sleep than the rest of the population. Up to the age of 12 weeks, puppies average between 18 and 20 hours of sleep each day. Senior dogs commonly need more sleep once they reach the age of 7 to 10 years, particularly when their tummies are full after a meal. They’re also generally ready for a snooze after their daily walk. For all other adult dogs, the sleep they need relates to how busy their owners keep them.
