Hair represents the pure thoughts and spiritual status of an Individual, showing the bonds and spiritual oneness of a Family and defines the cultural harmony and spiritual alignment of a Nation. Hair represents the Pure and Spiritual thoughts of All Tribal People.
Straight, flowing hair, teaches of one that can gracefully hold or let go of life. Thoughts can extend in a uniform manner, flowing directly from the source, like the movement of water flowing from the mountain top to the ocean, and then the water can rise up again to fall once more.
For those with Curly hair, they will have the potential to understand the Spiral, Curve and Energy of Life. Their thoughts teach about the decrease and enlargement of life's movement. The winding, circular energy of movement and growth on the Earth. All thoughts in life tend to ebb and flow.
Caring for hair is very important, for like the Sweet Grasses of our Mother, the Earth, our hair holds the purity of our intent. For our thought can purify the thoughts of others.

I wish my husband would grow the bottom half of his head out. He has it long on top and shaved underneath. The long hair is half way down his back. He is Cherokee and Blackfoot on his mom's side and Cherokee on his dad's. Proud of his heritage!
Very spiritual.
I was denied a Job at a Snowboard resort because of my long hair they said it's either the hair or the job... I am part Cherokee and I'm proud of my Native American heritage and I didn't feel I needed to alter my appearance for anybody I'm me because I'm me... I was very disappointed but everything is as it should be and I found an employer that doesn't view my hair as offensive... I found it strange that I worked in aerospace with long hair with no problems crawling in and out of aircraft wings... Lol... This is a Snowboard resort...??? Oh well they lost a good employee... Cheers... Keep it growing...

I can't help but be very attracted to native American men, especially long haired ones. They are so handsome. Native American women are beautiful as well. What is the secret to growing their hair long and gorgeous? I'm a recovering hair dye addict, recently it's been a month since I dyed my hair. It's getting healthy, soft, silky and smooth. Happily I have absolutely No desire to buy any hair dye. I hope I can heal myself and my hair from this crazy addiction.

My heart swells with pride to see such handsome, intelligent looking native men with their traditional long hair. I am of the white, red, and black races. But it the Native American that I am most proud of, and identify with. I too wont cut my hair. It is my long hair and high cheekbones that get the most compliments. We as native people need to be more visible. Annie Watches for Owls.
