Watch good Samaritan save chubby prairie dog stuck in roadside hole
This is the heart-warming moment two good Samaritans came to the rescue of a prairie dog trapped in a road.
The poor rodent risked more than his waistline after getting stuck in a hole in the middle of a Russian road.
Luckily, the podgy animal was given a helping hand a kind-hearted couple after they spotted it flailing as they drove by.
The pair got out of the car and managed to carefully yank the chubby dog from the hole before allowing it to escape into nearby foliage.
Prairie dogs are rodents native to North America which resemble squirrels with their body shape and fast feet.
The footage has become a viral hit, having attracted more than 1.3 million views in just two days.
