Stunning Images of a Wild Bear Rests on Hammock captured by Photographer Rafael Torres
A black bear took a much-needed break in a backyard hammock after spending the night knocking over trash cans and scaring residents in a Daytona Beach neighborhood Thursday.
Photographer Rafael Torres caught the bear climbing into a hammock and lying down, according to NBC affiliate WESH.
Torres told WESH he was about 60 feet away when he took the photos and it didn't seem bothered by his presence. He said it stayed in the hammock for 20 minutes before heading back into the woods at about 8:15 p.m.
The black bear is the first Torres said he's seen in the area by that hammock.
