Duncan Lou Who probably isn’t like most boxers you’ll meet, although he’s determined to show the world that he too can be like any other dog, with just a little extra time, work and patience.
Born with severely deformed legs, which were fused together by the time he was just eight weeks old, Duncan has been given a second chance by the kind hearts at Panda Paws Rescue in Vancouver, Wash. The rescue is dedicated to working with special needs dogs, like Duncan, in addition to canines in need of rehab or hospice care.
Due to his condition, Duncan was put through a double amputation surgery of his rear legs so that he could have the chance to experience a more normal life.
Since coming to Panda Paws Rescue in late 2013, he has been participating in hydrotherapy and physical therapy to help him walk, run and live better on just two legs.
If the video below is any proof, Duncan seems to be doing just fine in spite of his special needs. He has an unwavering determination to prove that he can enjoy life to the fullest like any other household companion and serves as inspiration for those who might not succeed on the first try, confirming that, “if at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again.”
Check out two-legged Duncan take on a flight of stairs over and over again until he happily reaches his goal in the video.
