A couple, Vivien and Arthur travelled to Chiang Mai, Thailand to visit the Patara Elephant Farm and they had an unforgettable visit. At the end of their visit, a 2-month-old calf named Tara ran over for a cuddle with Arthur.
Patara's elephant program is different from others in the country as it focuses on the healthcare and preservation of the endangered elephants. Care of the elephants come first, tourists second. Visitors are paired with one Thai elephant and have to take care of them for the day.
Vivien explains in her YouTube description what makes Patara's program unique:
"When we arrived, we really had to work hard and learn what it meant to take care of these amazing creatures. This included feeding the elephants their daily meals, inspecting and squeezing out the water from fresh stool, bathing, scrubbing and washing the elephants in the river, and finally exercising the elephants in the jungle."
"It was at the end of our day which we had the unique opportunity to play with a two month old female calf named Tara. As soon as she heard Arthur calling her, she ran over and cuddled with him non-stop. It was an adorable and unforgettable experience."

VIDEO Baby Elephant Loves Cuddling
how truly beautiful what a blessing to have hugs and her mumma so close
"they are just animals' - not! They are magnificent beings, with emotions - they give back to the earth unlike 'man' who destroys it for profit. Thank you for sharing this.
Thanks for sharing, magnificent creatures! That baby is so cute :)
We can learn so much from the animal kingdom! Thank you for sharing! xo
That is so amazing to see how a baby elephant loves to cuddle with a human. And his momma is right there with them. That is so beautiful.
Maybe not a great plan encouraging this, what if it still does it when it's grown up?
Wonderful!!!!
Love it <3
