This is the moment an adorable kangaroo and a very confused dog become a match made in animal heaven.

Love Bug the kangaroo seemed to have a case of puppy love as it attempts to kiss Dozer the Beagle and Labrador mix.

Sociable Love Bug, who is a Western gray kangaroo, tries to get friendly with Dozer, the dog seems a little more reluctant to relax.

The animals live at Exotic Experience in Orlando, Florida, and have been friends for life at the zoo.

Owner Leslie Rush suspects that all her animals, including lemurs, a deer and a pig, think they are the same breed and all get along.

'They have all been brought up together, so get along like a big family,' she told NineMSN.


Although extremely friendly, western grey kangaroos are said to be very persistent when they see someone as a potential mate.

A spokesman from charity Save The Kangaroo described what kangaroo's characters are like describing them as mild and loving creatures.

He said: 'Kangaroos are gentle, affectionate and inquisitive animals that love to know what is going on around them.'


The YouTube video has received thousands of hits since being posted last year.

The video shows Love Bug attempting to woo Dozer and get his attention.

While confused at first, Dozer eventually seemed perfectly comfortable with Love Bug's advances, and even begins to play coy.

But persistent Love Bug kept trying and eventually Dozer let his guard down and warmed up to the affection and kisses.
