On Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4, the Autry National Center in Los Angeles will hold it’s annual American Indian Arts Marketplace.

More than 180 Native American artists from more than 45 tribes will be at this year’s Marketplace.

Featuring the finest in contemporary and traditional American Indian arts, the festival includes more than 25,000 square feet of exhibition space, artist demonstrations, music, dance, and food. At the Marketplace visitors can purchase artwork directly from artists—and also learn about the breadth and diversity of art forms that have been practiced across North America for thousands of years.

Weekend events will include seminars for collectors and main stage entertainment for the whole family. The Marketplace will be open 10 am to 5 pm both Saturday and Sunday.

“Indian art has changed dramatically over the past decade, and the Autry’s Marketplace provides an opportunity to see what is currently happening in Indian Country.

There is something for everyone—from the beautiful baskets, pottery, textiles, and jewelry that continue to be made using the techniques and materials passed down through the generations to some of the most innovative and contemporary works,” says Shelby Tisdale, the Autry’s Vice President of Curatorial and Exhibitions and former director of the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
