Ukutula lions cubs (9 days old) try to escape before "sleeptime"!
There's nothing more adorable than a baby lion playing in a bucket. Except, of course, two baby lions.
In this incredibly cute YouTube video, a pair of 9-day-old lion cubs attempt to climb out of a massive plastic cup they're using as a play pin. But the two just don't quite have the strength to propel themselves out into the wilderness before nap time.
The clip was filmed in Ukutula Lion Park* and Lodge, located just an hours drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria in South Africa.
*Ukutula is conveniently situated within an hours drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The game farm comprises 260 hectares of unspoilt bushveld boasting a variety of antelope species, giraffe and zebra. Ukutula is also home to more than 130 different bird species.
Known as the “place of quiet” the lodge is nestled in lush bushveld where the roar of the lion can be heard for miles around.
Aside from our native mountain lions—which are actually cougars and not really “lions” at all—the only lions in the U.S. live in zoos and other forms of captivity. Wild lions of course almost all live in Africa, with a tiny remnant population of a few hundred Asiatic lions hanging on in India. Yet, on March 1, a coalition of U.S.-based conservation groups spearheaded by the Defenders of Wildlife petitioned America’s top wildlife agency to list African lions as an official endangered species in the U.S.

So cute !. We have large Cougars here in Colorado. But, these are African lions I think.
Wish someone had helped them out!
