Something that is rarely seen in person is the sight of a mother polar bear in the wild with her cubs when she takes them out for the first time.
It is something that maybe only about 200 people in the world have witnessed up close. Polar bears are found in very cold, frigid and remote areas of the far northern hemisphere.
Many times the only way to glimpse their daily life, breeding and raising of their young is through robotic cameras. These have been placed on the ice by scientists in order to record their behavior.
Another way can be done on special polar bear safe buses that are specifically made for eco-tourism experiences. This year, a group of photographers were invited along to witness and snap photos of a mother polar bear and her cubs out for the first time in Canada.
What you will see are some wonderful photos of the loving mother and her babies playing and enjoying themselves on the snow covered tundra. It is indeed a very rare and delightful sequence of photos that will remind you that raising and enjoying the tender moments with youngsters, is something that happens to all species around the globe.

Absolutely wonderful. Hope the ice forms this year so they can eat, otherwise we will only have these pictures to remember them by.
The photo where the baby is sitting with his back to us, looks to be pondering "Are they both trees?"
