Visit Brooks Camp in Katmai National Park in Alaska and you will see an incredibly scenic wonderland.

Rapidly rushing streams flow through the beautiful landscape. A common sight at these streams are the many Alaskan brown bears that come here daily to fish for for salmon. These bears are experts at catching their dinner and rarely walk away empty handed.

One day a lone gray wolf shows up to join the brown bears in a attempt to catch a tasty meal for himself. As he enters the rushing stream, in quick moment he dives under the water headfirst.

Just as fast he comes up with a huge salmon in his mouth and proceeds to exit out of the stream. Seems the brown bears might just take a lesson or two from this very efficient gray wolf.

Below are photos that captured the moment that day.

Brer Wolf learns how to beat Brer Bear at his own game. Plenty for all. Salmon know it and deed others as their giveaway. A-Ho!

Too bad the salmon couldn't provide winter fat for the wolf like it does for the bear. Then the wolf wouldn't be so hungry during the lean times of winter. Ummm, some thing to that hibernation after all. \

I'm SO SAD that they are killing the wolf. This brings back some of my joy. Thank you.

Protect the environment!!!! No fracking, tar sands and pipelines....or wolves and bears and salmon will be history.......Ban trapping and killing of wolves and bears (coyotes and raccoons) and defend what is left of nature
